I was searching the other day the internet looking for a different types of psychic abilities. I came across this interesting article and I would like to share it with you today on the blog. It talkes about: Psychometry, Precognition, Psychokinesis, Levitation, Teleportation and Telepath.

Numerous scientific investigations have been made into the validity of human psychic abilities. Many have yielded statistical results that were a million to one against them happening by chance alone, and a few have been in the order of a billion to one, which is pretty conclusive proof.

types of psychic abilities

It is a common misconception that people with psychic abilities must be highly evolved individuals. The possession of psychic abilities does not indicate a person’s level of development anymore than the possession of great physical strength does. We all have psychic potential but our abilities usually lie dormant until they are activated. As with any skill, psychic abilities develop with regular use and diminish with lack of use.

Psychic abilities can be learnt by anyone who takes the time and effort to learn them, but that time and effort would be better directed towards developing their consciousness. Psychic abilities that only surface when the person is in a trance indicate a low level of personal development.

Some amazing psychic accomplishments are described in China’s Super Psychics by Paul Dong and Thomas Raffill. The American magazine Omni was involved when some of the tests were set up to ensure there was no cheating, and they quickly became convinced that the children’s abilities were real. The editor of Nature Magazine, a prestigious Chinese science journal also witnessed some the miraculous events described in the book, a few of which are summarized below:

  • A child took a sealed pill bottle off a shelf at random and placed it on a table. After a few moments the pills passed through the glass bottle and settled on the table. The child then placed a coin on the table and it passed back through the glass into the sealed bottle.
  • A thousand people sitting in an auditorium were each given a rose bud to hold. A six year old girl came on stage and with a silent wave of her hand the thousand rosebuds slowly opened into full bloom before the eyes of the astonished audience.
  • A blank piece of paper was placed into a closed pencil case and the child was asked to imagine that some words were written on the piece of paper. When the case was opened the imagined words were found to be actually written on the paper.
  • A random book was selected from a pile, it was then opened at random and a page was torn out, crumpled up and placed in the armpit of one of the children. With the page still screwed up and out of sight, the child could read every word.

The first two examples utilize teleportation and psychokinesis (both are examples of mind over matter) and the second two utilise clairvoyance (4D emotional-world [astral] sight). These, and various other psychic abilities, are explained in the following sections of this chapter. The development of psychic abilities should never be forced. They should be left to develop naturally at a time when they will be beneficial to your development rather than being a distraction, an ego boost or a means of making money.

Psychometry

Psychometry is “reading” the past history of an object by accessing the memory that is inherent in all matter (the akashic record). Some clairvoyants use psychometry to give psychic readings about people who are not present by sensing their vibrational energy from a personal item such as a ring or a watch. The vibrational energy patterns of the object in question set up sympathetic vibrations in the reader’s subtle bodies, usually via the solar plexus chakra of their emotional body. This enables the stored memories to be accessed by their sub-conscious mind and subsequently raised up to conscious awareness.

Animals use a form of psychometry to guide them as they migrate across vast distances. The animal’s solar plexus chakra sub-consciously perceives vibrations from the environment to guide it to its destination.

Precognition

Precognition is acquiring knowledge of an event in advance of its occurrence by means of extra-sensory perception (ESP), premonition, prophetic dream or vision. Present events are the effects of causes that were set up in the past, and future events are the effects of causes that exist in the present. If the present causes are known it is possible to predict the effects that will most likely occur in the future. Objective causal consciousness is required to actually see the causes in the causal world and accurately predict the future, but only enlightened people possess this ability.

Causes work their way up from the world they originated to the causal world, then the effects work their way back down to the world they will manifest in. Clairvoyants may be able to see the effects as they work their way down through the emotional world before they manifest in the physical world, thus enabling them to predict the future. But they would have no way of knowing whether their vision related to an actual event or a fictional event created by someone’s imagination. Predictions are only valid if no new causes are introduced, which is quite unlikely in the tumultuous world of mankind. A number of possible futures can sometimes be foreseen, and the one that manifests depends on choices of those involved. The certainty and accuracy of a prediction increases as the event approaches and the chances of new causes being introduced decreases.

Occasionally our guardian angels send us thoughts or images to warn us against doing something. Unfortunate consequences may be avoided or lessened if we heed their warnings. Such intervention usually only occurs to counteract the dastardly plans of a discarnate black magician (see Chapter 15). Many of the “bad” things that happen in our lives are directly caused by black magicians. In many cases our guardian angels will allow them to act (within the limits of our karma), but they will intervene if the event will adversely affect an important aspect of our life-plan.

Psychokinesis (Telekinesis)

Psychokinesis is the ability to move or influence an object by the power of thought, without the application of physical force. The power of the mind (will-power) can directly influence physical matter because everything in existence has a degree of consciousness. Scientists know that the results of experiments involving subatomic particles can be changed by the thoughts of those who are observing the experiment. If a subatomic particle of matter can be influenced by the uncontrolled consciousness of a scientist, it follows that larger material forms can be influenced by someone with a well trained, better developed and highly controlled consciousness. Nature spirits can also be invoked to move objects but that is magic not psychokinesis.

Levitation

Levitation is the process by which a physical object (or human body) is raised into the air without physical contact. It can be accomplished by three methods:

  • A non-physical entity at a séance draws energy from a medium’s etheric body to temporarily materialize their finger tips, thus enable them to lift the medium or object.
  • Etheric nature spirits may be invoked to lift the object.
  • The law of gravity can be locally reversed to allow the object to hover and defy gravity. This method was used in the construction of the Pyramids and Stonehenge.

Teleportation

Physical matter can be temporarily de-materialized into etheric matter to enable it to pass through a solid object or be teleported to another location before being re-materialized. This is achieved by energizing the object with sufficient vibratory energy to allow the molecules to separate out into their constituent 1-atoms. Provided the etheric template of the object is not damaged the 1-atoms will recombine to assume their original form as soon as the energy is withdrawn. The transmutation of base metals into gold by medieval alchemists was also accomplished by reducing the metal to the atomic state before rearranging the 1-atoms into the molecular structure of gold.

Telepathy

Telepathy is a method of communication which does not utilize the physical senses but employs the direct transference of ideas, thoughts or emotions. There are three types of telepathy:

  • Intuitional
  • Intellectual
  • Instinctual
